Suppliers

In 2003, MMNA spent more than $1.7 billion on production parts from approximately 250 North American suppliers. Of that number, $545 million constituted purchases from 50 Illinois suppliers. MMNA spent more than $75 million on raw materials with $2 million representing purchases from Illinois suppliers.
Believing a quality supplier base can only be achieved through diversity, MMNA established a Supplier Diversity Program in October 1996. This program is successfully enhancing opportunities for minority- and women-owned business enterprises by increasing their opportunities with MMNA, and creating other opportunities through the Central Illinois Supplier Development Council and the annual Heart of Illinois Trade Fair--both co-founded by Mitsubishi Motors.
Supplier Diversity
The Supplier Diversity Program strives to enhance opportunities for business enterprises owned by minorities and women. We believe that a quality supplier base can only be achieved through diversity, men and women, people of color and different cultures and backgrounds working together to achieve one goal--- a quality product.
