Edmunds.com named 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse one of the top 10 cheap and cool cars for teens. Forbes.com rated the 2006 Eclipse as one of the top 5 cars that are popular with women for affordability, practicality, safety, and with a dash of design flair.
The 2006 Mitsubishi Galant was given a 5-star rating for frontal crash safety (driver and passenger side) and side safety (front and rear seats.) It was also given a 4-star rating by NHTSH for rollover safety.
Auto Pacific's 2006 VSA (Vehicle Satisfaction Awards) named Mitsubishi Endeavor as its top rated premium midsize SUV. The Endeavor received a 5-star rating for frontal crash safety driver side and for side safety (front and rear seats.) It also received a 4-star rating for passegner side.
